What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy helps people to deal with a wide range of issues. This is achieved by using guided relaxation and focused attention to create a heightened state of awareness, known as a trance.

After 20 years of practice, Jennie has amalgamated a number of therapeutic techniques but finds hypnosis the fastest, most effective and comfortable method. Jennie is also the recommended hypnotherapist for Channel 4.  

Nina Ballinger

As Nina is based in Portugal she sees most of her clients online through Zoom. Each session consists of up to an hour of talk therapy after which she records live the hypnotherapy session in an MP3 format.

How Does Hypnotherapy Work?

During your session, you will be guided into a trance (a state of deep relaxation). This simply means your busy mind is quietened, allowing us to connect with your unconscious. This means no more struggling with will power!
 

We then give your unconscious the correct information, in a way it can understand, which changes how you feel, react and respond to phobias, addictions, emotions and situations.
 

There are many misconceptions about trance, but most of us experience trance-like states on a daily basis, for example when we are driving a route we are very familiar with, or when we are watching TV.

How Effective is Hypnotherapy?

Although some people are cautious about hypnotherapy, most people notice improvements after just one session. This depends, of course, on the problem they have come to me with. I see most people for between 3 and 6 sessions.

Online Hypnotherapy

Since the pandemic of 2020 (and looking like 2021 too), we have taken our hypnotherapy sessions online. We knew hypnotherapy worked online but we had no idea how well it would work until last year.

 

Online hypnotherapy means you can access hypnotherapy treatments from the comfort of your own home at a time that suits you. Also, it makes it even more affordable for you. 
 

Since March 2020 hypnotherapy sessions are done online either by Zoom or Facetime. These sessions are as effective as face-to-face. We work hard to make sure our clients have the most successful results they can achieve.
